Lady constable files rape case against SI
The families of the two cops are neighbours. Both the wives have filed rape cases against each other’s husbands.
New Delhi: A lady constable, working in the office of the DCP (East), filed a rape case against a sub-inspector of the 7th battalion. Following this, the wife of the accused filed a cross case against the victim’s husband, who is also a sub inspector.
The incident took place in Madhu Vihar area. According to the information, the families of the two police personnel are neighbours.
One of them is in the 7th battalion while the other is posted in DCP (East) office. Both the wives have filed rape cases against each other’s husbands.
The lady constable had lodged a complaint against the officer posted in 7th battalion and alleged that he forcefully raped her.
Following this, the accused sub-inspector’s wife alleged that the lady constable’s husband raped her. She gave a written complaint to the police in this connection.
The police is investigating the matter and questioning both the sides. The senior officers, however, said that this seems to be a case of spat between two neighbours.
No arrests have been made till now.
