Woman forces mom out of house, thrashes cops

New Delhi: In an alleged case of crime against a senior citizen and assault on police personnel, a daughter allegedly forced her mother out of the house and when the police intervened, the daughter along with her relatives thrashed the cops as well.

The accused was identified as Vimlesh, the daughter, while the relatives were identified as Jyoti and Deepak. The victim was named Kamla. The incident happened in Delhi’s Qutub Vihar area on Sunday. According to the police, there was a property dispute over a house between the mother and the daughter. On Sunday, the daughter forcefully pushed her mother out of the house.

“This house belongs to me but my daughter doesn’t let me in and because of this I have to live on streets... She even assaults me when I try to go inside the house,” said the distressed Kamla.

The police said when the victim contacted us, we escorted her to her house where the accused was present. She started shouting at the victim. As the police tried to intervene, the accused called her relatives and attacked the police personnel. They ripped apart the uniform of Suman, a lady policewoman and even thrashed her.

They didn’t stop there and further beat up constable Ashwini Kumar upon which the police called for extra force. Later, the injured police personnel were admitted to hospital and a case has been registered. under appropriate sections. The accused have been arrested, said a senior police official.
