New Delhi: Six men were arrested for allegedly robbing jewellery and cash from a house in west Delhi’s Naraina after threatening a woman and her maid, police said on Sunday.

The accused have been identified as Kasim Ansari (22), Mohammad Razi (19), Mamoon Ahmed (22), Tasleem (22), Fardeen Siddqui (19) and Bal Kishan (50), they said.

The incident took place on Friday, police said. According to police, in her statement, the victim stated that while she was present in her house along with her daughter-in-law and maid. At about 11 am, two boys entered their house and confined her and the maid in the kitchen.

One of them put the pistol on her head while the other caught hold of the maid. Both the boys forcefully took away gold jewellery including two necklaces, two bangles and rings and `1,50,000 cash, police added.

One of the accused, Mohammad Razi was identified on the basis of his social media account and from the CCTV footage analysis. Subsequently, the other associates and the jeweller who purchased the jewellery articles from them was also arrested, the officer added.
