New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday invited Union home minister Amit Shah for a public debate and asked him to choose the venue and time of his convenience and let the debate happen in front of the people as they wanted to know why should they vote for the BJP on February 8.
“People of Delhi have already voted you (BJP) for Article 370 and Ram Mandir but what have you done for Delhi? Why should people vote for you? There should be a debate on an open platform” Mr Kejriwal said at a press conference.
Speaking about the shooter, who fired in Shaheen Bagh on February 1, Mr Kejriwal said: “I don’t know which party he is from. He should be given the strongest punishment. There can be no compromise when it comes to national security.”
The family of Kapil Baisala, who allegedly opened fire during the protest at Shaheen Bagh on February 1, told a TV news channel that he did not belong to AAP.
