Why?

If it’s related to a circumstance, like “Why do I have to wear these clothes to the movie?” all you have to say is: “Because I said so,” suggests The Guardian.

Are we there yet?

Since you haven’t named your destination, ‘there’ will always be trouble. (Pun intended.) So when you say “Yes, nearly”, it’s not a bad idea.

Why can’t I sleep late?

Your kids probably look at you checking your phones and end up asking this. They might not realise that you’re just taking your time off. So, it’s okay to say: “You grow if you sleep.”

Where do babies come from?

“Here, take all these chocolates. Take the ones from my secret stash too.” Explaining ‘baby-making process to a kid can just be avoided with this bribe. At what age do we stop eating chocolates though?

Why do I have to go to school?
