You know how a child’s world is. And while we know curiosity is a good thing, it can be slightly annoying with children. And they won’t settle unless they get their answers (Wish they were so adamant about finishing food.)

Apparently, kids end up asking questions almost 55 times a day when they have their holidays, according to a study conducted by Daisy & Ollie, a children’s TV show. Here’s how you can cleverly answer 7 of the most common questions kids ask:

Why?

If it’s related to a circumstance, like “Why do I have to wear these clothes to the movie?” all you have to say is: “Because I said so,” suggests The Guardian.

Are we there yet?

Since you haven’t named your destination, ‘there’ will always be trouble. (Pun intended.) So when you say “Yes, nearly”, it’s not a bad idea.

Why can’t I sleep late?

Your kids probably look at you checking your phones and end up asking this. They might not realise that you’re just taking your time off. So, it’s okay to say: “You grow if you sleep.”

Where do babies come from?

“Here, take all these chocolates. Take the ones from my secret stash too.” Explaining ‘baby-making process to a kid can just be avoided with this bribe. At what age do we stop eating chocolates though?

Why do I have to go to school?

“It’s the way it has been.” Inside, you’re probably thinking of the time you raised the same question and what your parents said.

Why do I need to eat vegetables?

You know there was a time when you pushed away your greens too. “Because we want you to pretend that you like them at other people’s houses too. So practice now.”
