It’s 2 am and your hunger pangs have just set in. You walk swiftly as the growling intensifies, and make it to the kitchen without any ghosts chasing you. (Might want to look behind once again though). You open your fridge to see if you have anything good to eat, but the fridge is all messed up. The ketchup runs through the spinach that you had stuffed in, and there’s garlic in your milk container. Fret not; here are 4 effective hacks to keep your fridge organised:

The ‘finish first’ section

You can be that life-saving doctor for your rotting fruits and veggies. Things that are perishable need to be consumed before they vanish. And this goes for your ketchup, mustard, peanut butter, cookies, yesterday’s vegetable, century-old pizza. Maybe skip the last one and leave the slices for archaeologists.

It’s all about labels

You can play an interesting game with your fridge. Pick up a random non-transparent container and try to guess what’s in it. If you get it right, this hack is probably not for you. But if you can’t, it’s highly recommended that you name all those containers.

Divide and rule

If you don’t have a fridge with many sections, the best thing to do is to segregate. Use cardboard panels or glass panels. It’s a good investment, because for returns, you’ll be able to find that last, hidden garlic clove in emergencies.

Films

How would watching films help? No, this one’s about using cling films. If you’re someone who spills a lot, this could be really helpful. Putting a sheet on your panels will not let the spilled gravy make you clean the entire thing. Just keep changing it from time-to-time.

So, now that you know these, you use the time you saved from scrounging through your fridge for planning out how you can clean your cupboard.
