Football fever has taken the world by storm as everyone seems excited about the biggest event for the beautiful game. While fans are standing firm behind their respective teams, few controversial moments have brought a bad name to the tournament.

While England may have recently put up a spectacular show against Panama, some of their fans didn’t do something the country can be proud of. A pair of English fans was filmed doing Nazi salutes along with anti-Semitic chants at a bar in Russia as the team played their opening match against Tunisia.

They changed the Tottenham Hotspur song ‘we’re on our way to Wembley’ and instead sang ‘we’re on our way to Auschwitz. Both have been identified as 52-year-old Michael Burns and 58-year-old David Batty, and have been banned from all national matches for three years.
