Children studying in the board of The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) are in for a treat. Soon much-loved fictional works including Harry Potter will officially be part of the syllabus from the 2017-18 academic session.

The syllabus of classes from III to VIII will also have graphic novels of Asterix, Tintin, and the American cartoonist Art Speigelman’s Holocast saga ‘Maus. Even the Feluda series, Agatha Christie novels and The Hobbit will be taught in classrooms.

Moreover, there are also reports of autobiographies of Anne Frank, Malala, and APJ Abdul Kalam being added to the curriculum in the future.
