Nature and its beauty have always brought peace and solace to me. It rejuvenates the soul and I love to spend time in my little garden. I also consider myself lucky to have a beautiful garden in my building which I have taken charge of maintaining. Being an actress, I sometime feel trapped, as I cannot go for a stroll in the park without being recognised. At those times, this garden comes to my rescue.

I have fond memories of my kids and me bonding in our garden. I remember when my kids were young, we used to pretend that we are in the Amazon forests hiding between the shrubs and little plants. A memory well cherished by all of us. Even today, every now and then we host get-togethers in our beautiful garden and enjoy nature’s beauty.

I love growing trees that provide shade on a hot sultry summer day. In my garden, I have numerous mango trees, which give us some of the sweetest mangoes during the season.

Recently, I utilised a patch of space in the garden to grow spinach, coriander, basil and black pepper. I am super excited. I ensure that the garden is well maintained and healthy. I also make sure that the gardener uses all organic products and avoids chemicals.

Getting inspired by the Jindal Naturecure Institute, I have also added wind chimes in my little garden. I love the sound of the chime along with the chirping of birds.
