Sonali Bhoir: YouTube Queen of Marathi Koligeet

She is someone who has struggled through her life, played different roles with panache in her life, a daughter, a sister and a mother to her siblings when her parents would have to leave them alone at home and go work.

Sonali comes from a humble background in Joonandurkhi, Maharashtra and keeping aside all her struggles in life she completed her education from B.N.N. College, Bhiwandi. The struggles were steep and simple things like finishing her education was an uphill task, but she made sure she did it, even if it meant selling whatever little jewellery she had. Joining college was probably the best decision and the most life changing decision for her, that’s where her teachers and friends heard her sing for the first time and saw the potential of a true singer in her.

With the motivation from college, Sonali was determined to make her and her family’s life better and as they say slow and steady wins the race, she started getting small singing gigs and now for the last 5 years she has worked hard and established herself as a singer. Sonali masters in the Koligeet songs, she currently sings in Marathi, but is open to other languages as well. “Life has taught me to never give up, I have faith in myself and strongly believe that one can do whatever they set their mind to, I will never give up on my dreams, it’s a matter if time and I know things will fall in place for me” expresses Sonali regarding her journey so far.
