New Delhi: The Google Doodle on Wednesday marked Day 6 of the Doodle Snow Games alongside celebrating Valentine's Day.

In an endearing snap of two Grebes enjoying the Winter Olympics and showcasing how powerful love can be, Google portrays 'Birds of a feather skating together'.

Originating as a Western Christian feast day, Valentine's Day is recognized as a significant cultural and commercial celebration of love.

Very few people know this, but the day was first associated with romance in the 14th century, within the circle of author and philosopher Geoffrey Chaucer, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

On the other hand, Snow Games, also known as Winter Olympics, are taking place in Pyeongchang in North Korea, where athletes from across the world have gathered to celebrate the spirit of sports.

Google explains its cute doodle as, "Today's couples figure skating competitors, the Grebes, show us just how powerful love can be. The two lovebirds have been skating together since they were chicks, but today they truly spread their wings."
