Watching cops dance is a rare sight indeed. And a Bengal sub-inspector has been suspended from duty after a video of him dancing to a Bollywood song went viral on the internet. While it proved enough fodder for smiles online, it seems his seniors were not too happy with his antics.

The officer, Krishna Sadhan Mondal, who worked at the Hirapur police station, Asansol, West Bengal, was on duty when the video was shot.

It turns out that Mondal was celebrating his transfer to the Chittaranjan police station and can be seen swaying to music in front of two women who are sitting in the police station.

After the video went viral, a departmental inquiry against the sub-inspector was initiated. Laxmi Narayan Meena, Commissioner of Asansol- Durgapur Police Commiserate, told reporters, “The police officer concerned has been closed and departmental enquiry has been ordered on the entire event.”
