Terrifying predators are often spotted in the wild but coming across one in the streets can be shocking. Snakes are fearsome creatures which have been appearing areas inhabited by human beings as they are pulled out from cars and even air conditioners.

Residents of London were stunned when they saw a snake swallowing a pigeon in a busy street. People filmed the incident and others alerted the animal charity RSPCA about it.

The charity stated that the pigeon may have been fed to the boa constrictor which was later taken to a wildlife centre. It is believed that the snake may be an escaped or abandoned pet.
