Animal enthusiasts in the city have put together a bunch of events specially designed for pet parents and animals.

Show off your dogs agility skills at Pet-Fed

With slobbery kisses, wagging tails or loud meows, pets make a way into our hearts and homes. However, if you don’t have a pet of your own, getting a chance to socialize with pets is hard to come by, since most public places have a ‘no pet’ policy and there is a lack of animal parks in the city. Even for pet owners, finding pet-friendly recreational spaces outside one’s home can be a trying task. But fret not, for animal enthusiasts in the city have put together several fun events that welcome the participation of both, you and your furry friends.

If you want your pet to have a ball of a time while making a difference, attend the Woofs and Hoofs Carnival and Fundraiser 2019, which is scheduled to be held on January 13. The carnival consists of agility competitions for your pooches who just need an excuse to run freely. For diva doggies, there is a fancy dress competition. So put on those cute costumes and let your pooch dazzle the ramp. The carnival isn’t all about fun and games, as it’s also educational as renowned dog behaviourists will educate pet parents about how they can physically and mentally stimulate their dogs in a metropolitan environment.  An array of lovely stalls selling products for you and your dog is the icing on the cake.

If camping is your thing and animals, the love of your life, join the Paw Trails on an epic overnight camp at an animal farm. With over 200 rescued animals, including dogs, cats, donkeys, horses and a pig, waiting to welcome you, this camp is one of a kind. You can spend the day with the animals and later, indulge in an informative session about animal welfare, which will be conducted by a certified instructor. You also get to dig into a scrumptious barbecue dinner and spend the night under the stars.

For feline friends, Mew-Ga 2.0 by Cat Cafe Studio helps you get fit while spending quality time with cats. The event, which is held every Sunday, encourages you to try out yoga postures while cats around you do the same. Watch these feisty felines try out some signature moves. Conducted by Priti Jhavar, this combination of kittens and yoga is sure to soothe your stress.

From off-leash zones to let your dog roam free to fashion shows, security dog shows, and a dedicated cat play area, there is something for both, cat and dog parents and their little ones.

But, if all these events make you sad about not having a pet, then head to Adoptathon Hangover Camp 2019 organised by World For All. The camp encourages you to adopt dogs that have been rescued from the streets, so take your pick and take home a fluffy ball of love!
