Many pets of different breeds participated in the ‘Pet Fed’. People who don’t have pets also gathered to get a good dose of pet love.

The crowd also involved those who don’t have pets but needed some of the pet love.

When it comes to taking care of yourself, you do everything that is possible. But what about that special pet, who is totally dependent on you? To answer that, the Delhiites recently got chance to adore their fluffy little friends in this New Year’s eve with India’s biggest pet festival ‘Pet Fed’, which was organized at NSIC ground in Okhla. This fest attracted a huge rush of pet lovers, who gathered to play with their fluffy friends. Over a thousand pets of different breeds participated in the event. The crowd also involved those who don’t have pets but needed some of the pet love.

This was the sixth edition of this festival that witnessed a huge crowd of more than 3000 pets. The festival swanked of numerous activities like Comedy Central Follow Me, Temptation Alley, Pets Got Talent, Pet fashion show and the most loved Police Dog show which was done in association with Delhi Police Crime Dog Squad by 12 police dogs and 22 officer handlers, in the presence of the ACP.

Aashana Jain, Co-founder of Pet Fed said, “It was 6th edition in Delhi, so we were already expecting something big this time to celebrate New Years especially with pets, which you obviously for which you don’t get time. It was altogether a great experience this time.”

When asked about the major attraction in this year’s edition, Aashana explains, “This year it was different and big as we added International Cat show and we almost got 50 plus cats for this and it was a big hit especially when Delhi is new for the cat section.” Aashana feels that there are many festivals around the country, but nothing is related to our pets. She adds, “We have food festivals, music festivals drama festivals all types of festivals throughout the year where people really don’t get to take their pets outside, there are very few pet-friendly places available in Delhi or in India. People keep their pet as their own child so we thought why not to have something like this where one can enjoy their day out with their pets”

“I always wait for this festival every year. It is the only day, which is dedicated to my pet completely. This is my third year with this festival and I have always enjoyed it”, shares 25-year-old Swati Gupta.

“We have no pets, but we still come to this festival every year along with our daughter. I love spending time here. It is good to see a day dedicated to pets. I think we should have something like this more often,” shares 29-year-old, mother, Ritu Sharma.
