Obesity has become a major cause for concern in many parts of the world and governments as well as people are trying to tackle it. Be it dietary changes or workout trends, everyone is using their own way to shed extra weight.

While pills available for weight loss have rarely been recommended, research has found that some may actually work. The findings suggest that taking vitamin D supplements can help children lose weight as many struggling with obesity eat diets lacking vitamins.

A daily dose of vitamin D was found to cause lower obesity rates, improve cholesterol levels and reduce body mass. Some studies have previously indicated that more belly fat may be associated with vitamin D deficiency.

Lack of the sunshine vitamin can also lead to weak bones and lack of immunity. Food like fish and milk which provide a lot of vitamin D may be effective against diabetes and hair loss while they also improve a person’s mood.
