While advances in the medical field have helped several people make their lives better, they may have side effects as well. Prosthetic limbs have enabled thousands to have a more comfortable life, but have they been harming people as well.

A study claims that people with artificial limbs may be causing damage to the parts which are intact. The findings show that they rely too much on the non-prosthetic limb, leaving it vulnerable to excruciating overuse.

It has also been revealed that many have been facing crippling pain because of artificial limbs which aren’t fit properly. The overuse of the limbs that are intact may cause injuries and fatigue.
