Summer is soon approaching and here are some tips to take care of your skin this summer. Changes in the routine should be reflective of your skin type, some people’s skin tends to remain the same through changing seasons while for some it might change with changes in humidity levels and temperature.

Use SPF Lotions: There is a tendency for the skin to become clogged and develop pigmentation over the summer, it is important to exfoliate your skin once or twice a week. This removes dead cells, dull skin-debris, helping improve hydration from toners and moisturizers. It is important to keep the skin moisturized to protect from all the harsh exposure from the sun which can damage the skin. Use a nourishing facial oil before applying SPF lotions.

Keep your skin hydrated by using hydrosols: Floral waters made from the steam distillation of various plant materials. We recommend rose as not only it has an amazingly refreshing scent, it is anti-inflammatory and helps to maintain your skins PH balance. It is the perfect way to hydrate your skin without clogging pores. They will also help tone any occurring pigmentation and smoothen your skin. Spray right after washing face and prior to moisturizing or application of SPF lotions. Always carry one, keep it at your desk, in your car or gym bag!

Nourish yourself with some oil: Taking care of your hair is essential and the same as taking care of your skin. Prolonged exposure to the sun damages the outer cover of hair, ripping off natural oils of the scalp also leading to hair loss. Oils can be used for natural protection while smoothening ends and giving them a shine. Can apply few drops of argan oil or jojoba oil as a serum as well.
