You can actually get smarter by eating ice cream for breakfast

Tokyo: Ice cream is one of those things that pone just can't refuse at any time of the day, and even though it's good to be treated to a scoop at any hour, there are more reasons to gorge on some to start off your day.

Scientists in Japan have revealed that having ice cream for breakfast can actually make people smarter and it can make performance at work better. A study was conducted by feeding volunteers ice cream immediately after they woke up and gave them puzzles.

The research found that those who consumed ice cream had higher frequency alpha waves which are associated with more alertness and lower mental irritation. This group also performed better than other and this performance wasn’t repeated with cold water, indicating that ice cream was probably the reason.

Meanwhile nutritionists in another part of the world advised against it and recommended salmon, fruits and low sugar breakfast cereals to start the day.
