Conjoined twins suffer a lot and surgeries are the only way for them to lead a normal life. Conjoined twins from US recently had a successful surgery that will now help them lead normal healthy lives just  before their birthday and the parents are elated with the new development before the big celebration.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the twins, Erin and Abby Delaney from North Carolina had a 11 hour-long surgery to separate their heads from each other. The girls joined at the head suffered from a rare condition even among conjoined twins called craniopagus because of which they had quite a lot of trouble. The twins underwent an operation at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before which they were implanted with balloons at the head to expand the skin to have an easy operation.

The parents, Heather and Riley, got to know about the birth of their conjoined twins when they were just 11 weeks into the pregnancy and took extra care before they were delivered so that the girls could lead a normal life. The babies have beaten all the odds to survive and now they have been said to be healthy after the surgery on June 7.
