If one has to keep tabs on their health, they can just download an app for it.” She later advices that one does not need watches to maintain good health. She then adds, “One can keep a regular tap on their health by simply getting a BMI (Body Mass Index) test done every two months. To do that, you can always visit the nearest gym or a dietician.”

Anjali Bisht points out, “Some fitness bands are also smart bands which when synced with our mobile phone, notifies us about our messages and calls while working out. By syncing, songs can also be changed by just a click on the band when listening to music while the workout.”

Although, fitness watches come with a lot of features, they are only an indicator of a problem. To which, Komal comments, “I don’t feel with the current set of devices it is going to replace the other traditional methods of monitoring the heart rate and pulse rate because the level of accuracy isn’t quite there yet.”

Fitness bands may be in and good for the public but whether it is important to have one or not is completely up to an individual. What really matters the most is the fact to stay healthy and one can do so by doing simple things like eating a balanced diet and regular body check-ups.
