Snoring is an issue several people struggle with as it can be embarrassing for them and inconvenient for others. While several ways have been explored to prevent people from snoring in their sleep, a simple new method may be able to help.

Scientists have developed a nasal spray which can treat sleep apnoea which causes people to snore. It has a hormone called leptin which is believed to help regulate breathing.

Sleep apnoea occurs when the throat tissue collapses and blocks the airway for about ten seconds. Apart from disturbing sleep, it can also lead to heart disease if left untreated.
