It’s finally that time of the year when you can get your bling and glam on. New Year’s Eve is the perfect time to flaunt your style and stand apart from the crowd. With the parties for New Year’s Eve lining up and the dilemma of what to wear mounting, dressing for the New Year’s is stressful. Our experts have lined up a few looks that you can try out to enter 2020 with a bang!

Sequins All The Way!

There is little room for error when it comes to a short sequin dress. Designer Reshma Kunhi says, “This season metallic sequin outfit are in trend. Tone to tone sequins have always been there but the multicoloured sequin short dress is the new IT thing.” She suggests that since there is so much happening, the accessories should be a bare minimum. “A smart clutch and a nice pair of stilettos or platform heels is just perfect,” she adds.

Bodycons To Dance In!

Want to stand out among a crowd with your moves? Designer Laxmi Krishna suggest a bodycon dress. She says, “A bodycon dress with a slight stretch to the fabric along with a slit is a definite head-turner. Don’t forget that your look is not complete without perfect makeup. Go for a wet look and with a simple pony as it is easy to maintain.”

Full-On Denim!

Denim on Denim was one of the major trends this year. Adding a touch of bling to your denim will make it appropriate for a year end party. “A denim jumpsuit will add the right amount of chic to your look. Pair this outfit with stilettoes and embellished accessories,” suggests designer Prachita Devi.

Gala Of The Year!

A ball or a gala calls for ball gown and there are many ways you can go from here. Reshma suggests, “A fitted off shoulder long gown with high slit accessorised with just a diamond choker is a perfect outfit. Avoid other accessories and just concentrate on one. Pair it up with stilettoes or even kitten heels. For people who are not comfortable with off-shoulder, you can go with a halter neck, thin noodle strap gown.”

Desi Works Too!

What will really make you stand out in a sea of Western outfits is a traditional Indian saree. Designer Prachita adds, “A lot of youngsters are preferring to go the desi route. For a New Year’s eve party, opt for a chiffon saree with a sequin-covered blouse. You can play up the accessories or tone it down as well.”
