Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s decision to scrap management quotas in private schools, calling it “the biggest scandal in the country,” is unjust since the matter of scrapping of quotas is sub-judice in the Delhi high court. Further, the scrapping of management quota is an infringement of these private institutions’ autonomy. Private schools help the government in fulfilling its duty of providing education to all. Mr Kejriwal should therefore choose his fights wisely.
