Women warriors

It is inspiring to read your newsreport 3 IAF women fighter pilots to join in June (March 9). It is heartening to see that the Indian Air Force has decided to do away with its bias of women being “physically unsuitable” for flying fighter aircraft and go ahead with inducting women fighter pilots. While women officers have been flying helicopters and transport planes, it was only in 2012 that two women were trained for combat roles flying helicopters.
