Waste of money

This is with reference to your news report, MP to host '15 crore Narmada event (Sept. 17). The planned Narmada event is another instance of misguided showmanship and tokenism that our governments are famous for. There is no proportion between the amounts earmarked for the show itself and the amounts set aside for the actual conservation project and follow-up. And the expected attendance of religious leaders at the event adds to the propaganda quotient and nothing else. What a waste of public money!
