US, Swiss say yes

The backing of Switzerland and the US for India’s bid to be a member of the NSG is a major win for future nuclear trading in the country. India’s refusal to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty isolated it for years. Now, India can expand its atomic energy sector and undertake free exchange of uranium for civil purposes like electrification. India must persuade China to back its NSG membership bid.
