Uneasy promises

Last year the Patels demanded reservation in Gujarat. Now its the Jat community in Haryana. Reservations is a serious problem, which needs to be addressed soon before it goes out of control. Sadly, today’s youth want to take the easy route of getting a job rather than fighting it out in a competitive world on merit. Political parties should be barred from making such tall promises during elections, as ultimately the Supreme Court has to intervene.
