Trump’s hate race

With reference to your news report ‘Sikh Captain America’ takes on Trump (May 10), Vishavjit Singh, a Washington-born Sikh artist-activist, has rightly criticised Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for his hate-filled speeches. The fact that ordinary Americans are accommodating Mr Trump’s rhetoric of hate shows that Mr Trump has been successful in bringing hate to the mainstream of American politics. In this context, Mr Singh’s take that Mr Trump is “making America hate again” is not misplaced.
