Tribute to heroes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks at the Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra’s inauguration in New Delhi on Sunday were a refreshing change. Few top Indian leaders in the past 70 years have even bothered to acknowledge, let alone pay tribute to, the soldiers who laid down their lives in the two World Wars. Indians played a key role in ensuring the defeat of the Nazis and fascists in 1945, and their role is an unforgettable part of our history.
