In response to Manish Tewari’s article, Terror live on TV puts everybody in danger (July 9), I would like to state that I beg to differ from the writer. It is easy to accuse the media of trying to “grab eyeballs”, but in context to the 26/11 terror attacks, journalists risked their lives to give their countrymen a live account of one of the worst security breaches in history. They were also first to reach Uttarakhand when the 2013 natural tragedy struck and reported the extent of damage. If politicians want the media to step back, they should try to reach ground zero before them.
