Navjot Singh Sidhu

has left the BJP and formed Awaaz-e-Punjab, which is the forerunner of a regular political party to come. He believes that he is a perfect cutout for nothing less than chief minister of Punjab. Mr Sidhu’s new party may split anti-Akali votes. In this context, the Akali-BJP combine may be able to retain power for the third successive term.
