Section 377 must go

The Supreme Court’s decision to review the gay sex ban is welcome as it offers hope for the LGBTQ community. A 153-year-old law that criminalises homosexuality has no place in today’s world. It’s a law that can be used to oppress and harass. In 2016, we shouldn’t be debating whether some group of people have an equal right to life. The entire world is waking up to the rights of the LGBTQ community. This is our chance to correct a grave error.
