Punish MLA Joshi

With reference to your editorial, Shaktiman horror (March 19), Shaktiman, a well-trained horse and part of Uttarakhand Mounted Police for years, lost one limb after it suffered multiple fractures during a BJP protest and a cruel attack by BJP MLA Ganesh Joshi. “Unfortunate” is a very small word to describe this tragic incident. While Mr Joshi has been arrested, the BJP should suspend him. Rather than venting your anger on a poor animal, there are more appropriate and effective ways of registering protest.
