Produnova star

Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar’s qualification for the finals of gymnastics, the first ever from India, is commendable not just because it's a first, but also because of the manner in which she broke into the last eight with a perfect “Produnova” move. With a 7.000 score for difficulty Dipa had more points than American Simon Biles, who scored 6.300 for difficulty. Hers being only the fifth “Produnova” qualification in Olympic history, Dipa has already made India proud.
