With reference to Ayaz Memon’s article Onus on Negi to prove his credentials (Feb. 7). Delhi boy Pawan Negi’s life was transformed in the span of 24 hours. On February 5, he was included in India’s squad for next month’s ICC World Twenty20 as well as Asia Cup in February, and on February 6 he found his IPL value skyrocket from a base price of just Rs 30 lakh to a whopping Rs 8.5 crore. But the road ahead is full of hurdles. Negi should not let the the glamour get to his head; he should focus on proving the selectors right and playing to the best of his abilities for the country.
