Parrikar parried

Defence minister Manohar Parrikar’s swipe at actor Aamir Khan for his comments on intolerance last year, saying, “If anyone speaks like this, he has to be taught the lesson of his life,” was uncalled for. Khan had said that he and his wife had contemplated leaving the country for fear of a sudden rise in intolerance in India. It’s fine if Mr Parrikar doesn’t take him seriously, but he shouldn’t stoop so low.
