Pakistan has been criticised for human rights abuses in Balochistan and in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. It is characterised by authoritarianism and the absence of democratic norms. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, in his televised address to the nation, blasted Pakistan for its role in the attacks in Afghanistan. Now that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reprimanded Pakistan by raising human rights violations it perpetrates in Balochistan at the UN Human Rights Council, it is time Pakistan ends all support and sponsorship of terrorists.
