Pak’s inaction

US President Barack Obama’s warning to Pakistan is timely. After the December 2014 attack on a school in Peshawar, a national action plan was drawn up by the country’s political and military leadership. It claimed that “no armed militants would be allowed to function” and that the government would “ensure against the re-emergence of proscribed organisations (under new names)”. But terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Tayyaba and Jaish-e-Mohammed continue to flourish. Until and unless Pakistan dismantles all terror networks on its soil, terror will continue to haunt us.
