Oh! The irony

The idea of reservation was to eliminate the deep-rooted malaise of “social backwardness” from the minds of people. But the present Jat agitation demanding reservation is both outrageous and saddening. It is so ironic that communities today are protesting to obtain “backward” status when the whole idea behind reservation was about going “forward”. The Mandalisation of politics and the politicisation of the Mandal report has worsened the overall political scenario in the country.
