By moving the Delhi high court to direct the Wrestling Federation of India to conduct a wrestling match between him and Narsingh Pancham Yadav in the 74-kg category to decide who would represent India at the Rio Olympics, India’s foremost wrestler, Sushil Kumar, has opened a can of worms. While it is true that he has proven his mettle at two Olympics, it’s time Kumar allowed younger wrestlers to represent India at the Olympic Games. Sushil Kumar is only undermining the respect earned by him on the basis of his talent.
