Pakistan Prime Minister’s adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz recently accused India of making terrorism an excuse for dropping bilateral talks. Coming in the aftermath of the US treating the Pathankot terror attack at par with 26/11, Mr Aziz’s statement shows that Pakistan is in a tight spot. Mr Aziz is using typical evasion on technical grounds to make a sorry attempt at absolving Pakistani non-state actors from having played a role in Pathankot. But Pakistan’s inaction implies complicity. Pakistan must act instead of thinking on Pathankot.
