Nitish, be not proud

With reference to your editorial, Nitish floats on dream for all India (April 22), I would like to state that the Maha Gathbandhan’s victory in the Bihar Assembly elections has undoubtedly given Nitish Kumar and the national Opposition a morale boost. But replicating the success in Bihar at the national level is a completely different matter. It is unwise on Mr Kumar’s part to harbour prime ministerial ambitions as they can only be realised through wafer-thin majorities that is not good for the country primarily due to the elephant-sized egos of alliance partners. Mr Kumar must concentrate on Bihar first.
