Missing the mark

It was disheartening to see our women’s archery team crash out of the Rio Olympics after losing 4-5 to Russia in the quarter-final. However, the trio of Laxmirani Majhi, Bombayla Laishram and Deepika Kumari did well to push world champion Russia to the shoot-off. Russia started the shoot-off with a perfect 10, to which India responded with a poor 7. This made the difference. Nevertheless, India put up a strong fight to the finish.
