India’s victory over the Kiwis in the first Test match by 197 runs seems a comfortable one and the credit for this should go to R. Ashwin. India batted first and scored 318 runs thanks to some useful and steady contribution from Pujara and Vijay as Rohit and Ashwin consolidated a good total. New Zealand answered with a good start but they couldn’t stand the spin attack of Ashwin. Kudos to Kohli and team.
