Kudos to Kumble!

In response to your editorial, BCCI gambles on Kumble (June 25), I would like to state that the BCCI’s recognition of Indian talent by appointing former off-spinner and skipper Anil Kumble as the Indian coach is good news. Kumble stands out for his ability to perform against tremendous odds — he bowled with a broken jaw against the West Indies in 2002. Kumble’s bowling figures speak for him. His presence will help nurture our young bowling talent.
