Gau rakshasas

In response to Sidharth Bhatia’s article, Gau rakhsaks or dalit baiters (July 30), I would like to say that gau rakshaks have demonstrated that they are actually rakshasas, who manifest evil, by mercilessly beating four dalit men for skinning dead cows in Gujarat. The violence owing to anything which is against caste-Hindu beliefs shows that it has a political motive. More than electoral gains, this politics threatens to damage our unity and moral fabric, and tarnishes India’s image abroad. This belies the Prime Minister’s pet slogan of “Sabka saath, sabka vikas”.
