Apropos the police crackdown in JNU, I wonder why students were allowed to hold a function commemorating the hanging of Afzal Guru And why don’t they commemorate our soldiers’ martyrdom Further, the Indian government spends taxpayers’ money to subsidise the study and stay of students in JNU. But these students shout anti-India slogans with gusto! The rot exists because political parties treat university campuses as proxy political battlegrounds. In this situation, the deployment of the police on campus is justified.
