Focus on safe India

It is good that the Centre is considering making Priyanka Chopra the brand ambassador of the Incredible India campaign. But the government must focus more on making India a safe travel destination for women. A recent spurt in cases of violence against women has tarnished the country’s image. It can be restored only by taking stringent measures that aim to improve women’s safety. It’s only then that we will be able to attract women travellers from across the world and assure them a safe and pleasant tourist experience.
