The fiery start provided by Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli’s century couldn’t salvage a victory for the Indian team. The bowlers failed to defend the competitive total of 295, yet again. Further, missed catches and glaring misfields didn’t help the Indians’ fortunes. In the end, with Glenn Maxwell leading the charge, Australia sealed what essentially turned into a comfortable run-a-ball victory. With two more ODIs to spare Down Under, let’s hope Indians show some fireworks to make up for the team’s series loss.
